Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology was established in June, 1968 in the Botany Department, Delhi University. The Institute was later shifted to Dehradun in April, 1976. Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology, Dehradun is an autonomous research institute of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
