Job Description

The Government of Odisha, Indian Institute of Handloom Technology (IIHT) has issued a notification for the recruitment of Only one Lab.Technician (Weaving) vacancies.

Educational qualification for the  Indian Institute of Handloom Technology (IIHT) recruitment 2017 must be a Three years Diploma in Handloom Technology or Textile Technology or Three years Diploma in Handloom & Textile Technology or equivalent from a recognized Institution with one-year practical experience in a weaving mill or handloom or power loom factory. Must be well acquainted with the weaving mechanism, cloth analysis and transfer of designs to point paper and loom. Desirable: Experience of Teaching in a Government or recognized Institution. The age limit below the 30yrs

Roles & Responsibilities

    Working under the supervision of clinical lab technologists, clinical lab  technician prepare specimens, follow detailed manual tests, and oversee automated analysis tests. Depending on the lab , clinical lab technician  can work with different specimens, like blood and tissue samples

There are six institutes in central sector and four in the State sector. All IIHTs provide a three years Diploma in Handloom and Textile Technology. The Varanasi and Salem Campuses also offer a one and half year Post Diploma in Textile Processing.
